Recent data from the United Nations indicates a staggering displacement of 1.9 million Palestinians, encompassing over 85% of the population, due to ongoing Israeli attacks. As the conflict persists, Palestinians are striving to maintain daily routines amidst the turmoil, seeking refuge in UN facilities and hospitals or resorting to self-built makeshift shelters.
The Palestinian Red Crescent disclosed the establishment of the first tent city in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, catering to displaced civilians. Initially designed to accommodate 300 families, plans aim to expand its capacity to host up to a thousand families.
Presently, around 1.4 million Palestinians have sought shelter across 155 UN institutions spread across five regions within the Gaza Strip.
