Forest fires in Turkey’s Muğla region have wreaked havoc on the animals’ habitat. Teams of fire brigade departments both participate in the fire extinguishing efforts and rescue the trapped animals whose natural habitats have burst into flames. The teams noticed a tortoise that was stranded in the burning area, whose feet were burned by the flames and that its vital activities were continuing.

They cleaned the tortoise’s burnt feet, and gave the thirsty tortoise water from a bottle. The thirsty tortoise handed over to a doctor nearby.
