The 7th National Toy Festival, held in Tehran, the capital of Iran, has started. Thousands of toys for children were exhibited at the festival hosted by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Youth. Dolls and toy models, action toys and characters, toys for babies and children under the age of 3, puzzles and card games, children’s tools and equipment, educational toys, outdoor toys and smart toys took place in the festival, which attracted great interest from Iranians. While the children who attended the toy festival with their families had fun to the fullest, this year’s festival featured toys that support children’s cognitive development. Chess, mind and puzzle games and toys aimed at increasing children’s hand skills attracted great attention.

Mariam Khamoshi, who attended the festival held in Tehran with her child, said, “We were very pleased with the festival. We saw the newly released toys here. I was surprised to see that local companies produce such beautiful toys.” Meryem Khamoshi’s daughter, who said she was happy to attend the festival, said, “I loved all the toys. There was not one toy that I didn’t like. I loved them all.”

The National Toy Festival will host its visitors until April 17.

Iran Warns Europe Over Nuclear Dispute

0

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi issued a stern warning to the UK, Germany, and France, accusing them of making a “new strategic mistake” regarding Tehran’s nuclear program. In a social media post, Arakchi said, “Iran will give a tough and determined response to the violation of its rights,” criticizing the European trio for backing a resolution against Iran at the IAEA Board of Governors.

Arakchi condemned the move as baseless, recalling past disputes in 2005 which led to the expansion of Iran’s uranium enrichment. “Have these three really not learned any lessons in the last twenty years?” he said.

Meanwhile, the IAEA reported on May 31 that Iran’s 60% enriched uranium stockpile had grown from 274.8 kg in February to 408.6 kg by May 17. In response, the UK, Germany, and France are reportedly preparing to refer Iran’s file to the UN Security Council, which could activate the “snapback” mechanism and reimpose UN sanctions.
