Tropical Storm Yun-yeung Causes Flooding and Disruption in Japan

Tropical Storm Yun-yeung approached Japan, causing heavy rains and flooding in multiple regions, particularly impacting the Kanto region. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that the storm was moving north from the coast of Shizuoka province and brought significant rainfall before making landfall. Flooding occurred in Chiba Prefecture, affecting roads and railways, leading to the suspension or delay of many train services by JR. In response to the situation, 78,418 people in 40,084 households were advised to evacuate in Chiba state.

The JMA issued warnings of a potential landfall in the Tokai region, urging residents in vulnerable areas to stay updated on evacuation information and be prepared for possible floods and landslides.
