Turkish Military Forces take over the operation and responsibility of Hamid Karzai International Airport in the capital city of Kabul, Afghanistan as part of the $130 million agreement with NATO. The people of Afghanistan welcomed Turkey’s agreement to take over the operation and responsibility of the airport. Former Kunduz Governor Omar Safi stated that the airport will contribute to the development and the economy of the country in a positive way under Turkish management.
