A roe deer that fell into the sea while escaping from a dog attack and was drifting in the current was rescued by fishermen who sailed off the Hopa district of Artvin province, Türkiye last night.
The roe deer was delivered to the Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch Directorate and released back into nature after the necessary care and treatment.
“With the help of my crew, we took the roe deer to the deck and called the nature conservation teams. We returned to the port and handed it over to them. We are very happy to have saved a life. We always came across fish in the sea, but this time we came across a roe deer. It was an interesting moment for us,” said fisherman Atıf Çiçek.
