Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan slammed former US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan, calling it “insane” and stating that only the US and Israel support it while the rest of the world opposes it.
In an interview with Qatar-based Al Jazeera Arabic, Fidan addressed key foreign policy issues, including developments in the Middle East, Israel’s actions in Syria, and global diplomatic efforts on Ukraine and Sudan.
Highlighting Türkiye’s expanding global engagement, Fidan emphasized its growing influence in Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America. He underscored Türkiye’s commitment to international cooperation, particularly on the Palestinian issue and UN reforms, stating that Turkish diplomacy plays a crucial role in regional and global stability.
