Sivas knife maker Emre Göçeri has made a handcrafted sword from Damascus steel, completing the intricate piece in 11 days. The sword, known for its veined appearance, sharpness, and flexibility, is priced at 110,000 TL ($3100.)
Forged 275 times for strength and texture, the sword features a copper handle and showcases the centuries-old tradition of Damascus steel, named after the Syrian capital. Göçeri plans to innovate further by incorporating Damascus steel into Sivas knives, potentially blending it with ram horn for unique designs.
