Muğla, a popular tourist destination in Türkiye, has welcomed 585,108 foreign tourists in the first five months of 2023, showing a 3% increase compared to the same period last year. With its stunning coastline spanning 1,480 kilometers and numerous picturesque coves, Muğla is a key hub for the blue cruise experience and alternative tourism, boasting over 30 archaeological sites.
The arrival of foreign tourists, primarily through Dalaman and Milas-Bodrum Airports, is expected to remain high until mid-November. Among the visitors, British tourists lead the way, comprising 52% of the total number of tourists arriving in Muğla. Other countries in the top five include Russia, Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands. The tourism industry is optimistic about setting a new record due to strong domestic and international reservation figures.
