Turks in Berlin Commemorated Victims of Kahramanmaraş Earthquake

The casualties of the two devastating earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş were commemorated at a ceremony held at the Turkish Embassy in Berlin, Germany. The ceremony, attended by approximately 300 guests, started with a minute of silence for those who lost their lives, and then the Turkish National Anthem was sung.

“The pain of the lives we lost in the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes still continues to hurt our hearts today. I wish God’s mercy on each of the more than 53 thousand citizens we lost in the earthquake. I repeat my best wishes to over 17 thousand citizens who were injured in these disasters, which are called the disaster of the century,” said Ahmet Başar Şen, Türkiye’s ambassador to Berlin.
