A bomb attack was carried out on the Nuur Doob Hotel, where Somali politicians are located, in the city of Jowhar, 90 kilometers north of Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. According to authorities, at least 2 people were killed and more than 15 people were injured as a result of the bomb-laden vehicle hitting the hotel.
While the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the bomb attack, the terrorist organization stated in a statement that the hotel where Hirshabelle regional officials were staying was targeted in the attack.
