Ukrainian security forces shot down their own drone over the capital, Kyiv, leading to a fire that broke out in a four-storey building in the Solomianskyi region. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko confirmed the incident and said in a statement, “There were explosions and a fire broke out in the Solomianskyi district of the capital. It was probably caused by the UAV wreck.” He further added, “All services are going to the scene. Details will be given later.”
Klitschko later confirmed that rescue teams were at the scene and extinguishing the fire that broke out in the building. Fortunately, there have been no reports of loss of life so far.
