The draft resolution to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which was postponed for days at the United Nations Security Council, was accepted yesterday with the votes of 13 countries.
The captives should be released immediately and unconditionally, and both sides, Israeli government army and Hamas, should respect international humanitarian law, said US Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield after the voting.
The USA and Russia, among the 15 countries, “abstained” from the vote.
