A US police officer shot and killed 17-year-old Dalaneo Martin in Washington, DC, after he was found sleeping in an allegedly stolen vehicle. Police body-worn camera shows that Martin resisted on the officers who are attempted to detain him, and began driving the vehicle. As the police tried to detain the suspect in the back seat, other police fell from the car onto the road. Following many warnings, police opened fire from behind Martin and killed him.

The FBI and federal prosecutors have launched a civil rights investigation into the police shooting that occurred on March 18.
