Soldiers of the US Air Force were cleared after an investigation launched into the loss of life during the evacuation flight in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, in August last year.
In addition to the human remains found on the landing gear of the plane, at least 2 people died after falling from the plane during the evacuation flights from the capital Kabul, after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in August last year. As a result of the investigation launched after the incident, it was stated that the soldiers affiliated with the US Air Force were “in compliance with applicable rules of engagement.”
Linda Card, spokesperson for the U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Agency, said in a statement that the flight crew was cleared after nearly 10 months of investigation.
