At least six civilians, including women and children, were killed and 16 injured in a US airstrike on a residential area in Hudaydah, Yemen. The attack targeted the Emin Mukbil neighborhood in the al-Hawak district. Search operations continue, with fears the death toll may rise. The strike follows a series of US operations against Iranian-backed Houthi forces, ordered by President Trump in mid-March.
Hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets after Friday prayers to protest Israel’s recent attacks on the country. The largest gatherings occurred in the capital, Tehran, where demonstrators marched following prayers at Tehran University.
High-ranking officials, including Iran’s Constitutional Court head Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei and former IRGC commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, joined the protest. Participants waved Iranian, Palestinian, and resistance group flags, and trampled on Israeli and US flags laid on the ground.
Protesters held banners reading “Down with Israel”, “Down with the US”, and “The Zionist regime will be destroyed”, while chanting slogans such as “We stand behind our leader”, “Everyone who clashed with Khamenei will eventually be destroyed”, and “Our right to nuclear weapons”.
