The Spanish search and rescue team personnel, who were tasked with providing support in the rescue efforts in Türkiye, received a warm welcome on their arrival at the Spanish international airport. Being greeted with people’s applause, the Spanish team opened Turkish and Spanish flags and posed for souvenir photos with the Turkish officials who met them at the airport.
“In these difficult and cold days, you not only saved lives but also warmed our hearts. You will always be in Turkish people’s hearts,” tweeted the Turkish Embassy in Madrid.
