Washington bushfires kill 1

Authorities announced that one person died in the forest fires that broke out at two points last Friday near the city of Spokane in Washington state, located on the Canadian border of the USA. Washington Governor Jay Inslee declared a state of emergency, and thousands of locals were evacuated and placed in shelters. A total of 8,090 acres of land were destroyed, and 200 buildings, mostly houses, were burned.
