A whirlwind emerging after rain caused damage and panic in Hatay, Turkey. The whirlwind, first seen on offshore, reached the Çevlik Coast and damaged workplaces, trees, and sheds around. Luckily, the whirlwind disappeared before causing more trouble.

Expatriates returning to Europe after summer holidays in Türkiye formed long queues at the Kapıkule Border Crossing, expressing sadness at leaving their homeland.
Many said they contribute to Türkiye’s economy during visits and urged citizens to value their country. “We miss our homeland terribly. Life abroad isn’t easy, so we must appreciate and protect Türkiye,” said one returnee from Germany.
