A forest fire in the Varese region in the north of Italy spread around with strong wind and approached the houses nearby. Fire crews have been working hard to control the fire since the night with more than 30 firefighters, 9 fire trucks, 2 tankers and firefighting planes.
On the other hand, 1,700 people had to leave their homes due to the fire that started on 23 March in the village of Villanueva de Viver in the city of Valencia in eastern Spain. The fire, which still cannot be brought under control, has turned more than 4,900 hectares into ash so far.
