Hatay resident Semira Kartonoğlu, 53, has been collecting cardboard and bottles for the past 5 years to contribute to her family’s income and support her two children’s university education. Despite her husband’s health challenges from a brain hemorrhage 1.5 years ago, the family survived a recent earthquake in Antakya without injuries. Kartonoğlu’s resilience in working day and night, regardless of weather conditions, serves as an example to those around her. She emphasizes her commitment to collecting materials for her children’s education and economic support.
