11 died in South Korea flooding

Monsoon rains have paralyzed life in South Korea’s capital Seoul for four days. Flooding occurred in many parts of the capital, especially in Dongjak, which received the heaviest rainfall since 1942. The death toll has increased to 11, and 8 have gone missing in the floods and landslides that were caused by heavy rains, authorities reported.

About 80 highways and many riverside parking lots were temporarily suspended due to safety concerns.
