Two new eruptions occurred in the Ubinas Volcano, located in the Moquegua region, about 1,200 kilometers southeast of Lima, the capital of the South American country Peru. Peru’s National Emergency Operations Center said that there was ashfall in the surrounding settlements and told locals to take precautions by covering their mouths and faces. Peru Geophysics Institute (IPG) reported that eruptions will continue in the coming days.
