A passenger bus departing from the city of Rawalpindi in the Punjab province to go to the city of Gilgit in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan this morning went out of control and flew into a valley on the Karakoram highway. Twenty people lost their lives, and the injured were taken to hospitals.
The total number of passengers on the bus is not yet known.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his condolences for those who lost their lives and instructed authorities to provide all possible medical assistance to the injured.
