Premature babies from Shifa Hospital in Gaza, surrounded by Israel, were transferred to Emirates Hospital in Rafah City. The Palestinian Red Crescent mentioned that 28 of these babies were then moved to Egypt for treatment with WHO and OCHA support.
Israel had surrounded Shifa Hospital 10 days prior, alleging it was used by Hamas for military purposes, resulting in a fuel shortage that led to the deaths of five premature babies out of 36.
