The opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games is set to begin at the spectacular new Bishkek Arena, bringing together participants from over 100 countries. Held under the slogan “Unity in Strength, Unity in Spirit,” this global event aims to celebrate and preserve the rich cultural heritage and ethnosport traditions of nomadic peoples. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are among the leaders attending the launch at the 51,000-capacity stadium, which was strikingly designed to resemble a traditional “boz üy” yurt. Running until September 6, the festival will see nearly 2,000 athletes competing in 27 traditional sports before concluding with a grand closing ceremony in Cholpon-Ata.
