One Dead, 15 Missing in Grand Canyon Flash Floods

Severe flash floods triggered by heavy rains have struck the world-famous Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, leaving one person dead and 15 others missing. The National Park Service (NPS) confirmed that a 46-year-old man lost his life in the devastating August 29 downpours that swept through the Bright Angel Canyon and Ghost Ranch areas. His body was subsequently recovered near Crystal Rapids along the Colorado River. Emergency teams are now conducting widespread search, rescue, and evacuation operations in a desperate bid to locate the 15 individuals who remain unaccounted for.
