An exercise was organized in Turkey’s Kilis city by the Kilis Provincial Police Department Special Operations Branch Directorate. The exercise lasted approximately 1 hour with the participation of 80 special operations police, 4 armored tactical vehicles and an all-terrain armored vehicle at the Duruca village shooting range in Kilis. In the exercise, the police carried out an operation against the targets determined in accordance with the scenario. Also real ammunition and smoke bombs were also used in the exercise.
Meanwhile, the police officers in the Police Special Operations Branch displayed techniques such as neutralizing suspects at a short distance, rescuing the passengers taken hostage in a bus, residential area operation, terrain tactics, pistol tactics, and tactical shooting with armored vehicles. In the exercise, the Police Special Operations Branch officers destroyed the target by using sniper rifles, rockets and grenade launchers. At the end of the exercise, a police sniper opened the Turkish flag by shooting the balloon on top of a mountain.
