Two soldiers were killed and two others were injured after a Mi-17 military cargo helicopter crashed into an empty field in the Venezuelan city of Barquesimeto yesterday. The two pilots in the helicopter, which was engulfed in flames after it crashed, were rescued by people. According to reports, the pilots who were injured in the crash were taken to the hospital for treatment. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro thanked the citizens who rushed to the soldiers’ aid following the accident.
An investigation is underway regarding the cause of the incident.
