Baku Celebrates Turkish Youth Day

A vibrant ceremony took place at the Baku Turkish Anatolian High School in Azerbaijan to mark Türkiye’s May 19th Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day. The commemorative event brought together key officials, including Turkish Ambassador Birol Akgün and Northern Cyprus Representative Ufuk Turganer, alongside embassy staff, educators, and local families. The program opened with the national anthems and a solemn minute of silence honoring the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as well as the fallen heroes of both nations. Following the official tributes, the atmosphere shifted to celebration as students took the stage to deliver energetic dance performances and heartfelt poetry readings.
