Breathtaking drills from Turkish Gendarmerie

Muş Provincial Gendarmerie Command in Turkey carried out breathtaking drills in the yard of Command building. During the drills, the Commando Battalion Command carried out “search and rescue operation in an avalanche and a tent-building activity in the disaster area” drills, and the Gendarmerie Special Operations Battalion Command (JÖH) carried out “hostage rescue operation in a vehicle” drills.

According to the Commando Battalion’s scenario, a person who lost in the avalanche was detected by the search and rescue dog, and removed from the place by the Commando personnel. In the scenario, the lost person given first aid, and his treatment continued in the tent that was set up.

On the other hand, JÖH teams carried out an operation to rescue the hostages detained on a bus by terrorist elements in the scenario. In the drill, the JÖH teams conducted a breathtaking operation on the bus using smoke bombs, neutralized the terrorists, and successfully evacuated the hostages.

Meanwhile, Muş Governor İlker Gündüzöz, Tunceli Gendarmerie Regional Commander Brigadier General Nurettin Alkan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel İlhan Şen, Provincial Police Chief Engin Kaloğlu and military personnel attended the exercise.
