China is working on keeping its confined ancient city Pingyao, located in the Shanxi Province with a history of 2,800 years, safe and secure.

The historical city was deemed to enter the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1997 for comprising more than 300 cultural relics and approximately 4,000 traditional buildings which are perfectly spread to an area of 2,25 square kilometers.

The well-preserved city was immediately put under maintenance after being exposed to heavy rains in 2021.
