The cold air wave, which has affected most of Eastern Asia, also hit South Korea and decreased temperatures to minus 39.3 degrees in some areas. Heavy snowfall and wind in different parts of the country have brought life to a standstill. At least 476 flights were canceled.
The North Korean administration is taking action against the assumption that they do not have the necessary electrical energy for heating.
