Death Toll From Russian Attacks in Kyiv Rises to 14

The death toll from Russia’s massive overnight barrage on Kyiv and its surrounding areas has climbed to 14, with at least 60 others injured, including five children. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the devastating assault involved 351 drones and 68 missiles, damaging or destroying at least 15 residential buildings. In response to the tragedy, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko declared an official day of mourning, banning all entertainment events to “commemorate those who lost their lives in one of the most intense enemy attacks on the capital.” Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the large-scale strikes, claiming their long-range weapons targeted military and energy facilities across the region. As rescue crews continue to search the rubble and identify victims, flags across the Ukrainian capital will be flown at half-mast.
