Israel’s ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, persist with a focus on civilian areas, resulting in a high toll on Palestinian lives, particularly among children and women. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 47 Palestinians were killed and 61 were injured in five separate attacks on Gaza within the last 24 hours alone. These assaults have now extended for 207 days, leading to a total death toll of 34,535 and 77,704 injuries among Palestinians.
Jewish Voice for Peace activists occupied the Trump Tower lobby in New York, demanding the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a student activist detained by U.S. immigration authorities for leading pro-Palestinian protests.
Around 150 protesters, wearing red shirts and carrying signs, chanted slogans like “Free Mahmoud, Free Palestine.” NYPD intervened, detaining 98 people for unauthorized entry and resisting arrest.
The group stated on social media that they would continue fighting for Palestinian rights, condemning what they called U.S.-funded oppression. Police reported no injuries or property damage during the protest.
