Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, faced backlash for a gesture made during an event at the Capital One Arena following Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th US President. Musk, addressing the crowd, celebrated the victory, calling it a “crossroads of civilization” and thanking supporters for their efforts.
However, a hand gesture he made during the speech was likened to a Nazi salute, drawing widespread criticism on social media. Some users accused Musk of mimicking the “Sieg Heil” salute associated with Adolf Hitler. In response, Musk dismissed the accusations on social media, calling the criticism a “boring” attack, adding, “They need better dirty tricks.”
