In his speech at the fifth United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (EAGU-V) in Doha, Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, urged the international community to assist Syria and Turkey, where the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş caused significant damage.
“I wonder why the aid to the Syrians arrived late. It is unacceptable to use the humanitarian tragedy in Syria for political purposes,” said the Emir of Qatar Al Thani.
