Flood and landslide kill 33 in Nepal

Local sources reported that at least 33 in Nepal were killed by the flood and landslide that emerged after monsoon rains. Search and rescue works are being carried out for the 22 missing casualties in Karnali province, where a great number of citizens were injured.

Thousands in the province, which is the most affected region, were evacuated and hundreds of houses were damaged during the disasters. Emergency service officers stated that the waters in Karnali River reached 12 meters height and many drawbridges were drowned.

The disasters in the country that are related to rains have killed 110 so far. The monsoon rains are drawing to a close within October.
