Japan’s Epsilon-6 rocket launch attempt fails

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s attempt to launch the Epsilon-6 rocket failed. According to the agency, a problem occurred on the rocket that impeded the rocket to fly in its normal orbit shortly after it was launched from Uchinoura Space Center at 09:50 local time. A self-destruct instruction was ordered to the 95.6 ton weighing rocket that was carrying 8 satellites developed by various foundations, including private universities and a private company. The incident is being investigated.

The launch attempt was originally scheduled for last Friday, but has been postponed to today due to unfavorable conditions that could make tracking the rocket’s position difficult.
