Two people were injured in a fire in an apartment in the Redwood Grove area of Bedford, England. Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service urged citizens to keep their windows closed, and that a violent gas explosion caused the fire.
Many buildings in the region, including a primary school, were evacuated. Andy George, Principal of Shackleton Primary School, said: “Following the fire in the Redwood Grove area of Bedford, the children at the school have been sent home. All children are safe. The school is working with emergency services teams. We look forward to starting training again tomorrow,” he said.
