One day before the opening ceremony of the 2023 Taiwanese National Indigenous Games in Taipei, the giant tent set up in the event area was lifted by a sudden strong wind. The collapsed tent fell on the guests who were trying to escape. A Japanese tourist suffered minor injuries to his foot.
The tourist was discharged after receiving treatment and was paid 2,000 Taiwan dollars for the accident.
