Protests in France continued on the ninth day after the controversial pension reform was passed, primarily in the capital, Paris. Demonstrators set garbage on fire and smashed the windows of shops and bus stops. Police used tear gas to disperse the angry crowd, and 58 people have been arrested so far.

According to the French Ministry of Interior, 119 thousand people in Paris and 1.09 million people across the country participated in today’s protests. Additionally, the French unions have called for the next protest to be held on Tuesday during the visit of King Charles III of England to France.
