Nenehatun Lake, located in Erzurum, Turkey, used to host 20 various passenger bird species as a resting point but it is currently dried up. The reason caused the aridification of the lake seems to be the global warming that is gradually showing its negative effects.

Expatriates from countries like Germany and France continue to arrive in Türkiye via the Kapıkule Border Gate for their annual leave. Despite the long journey, many say the excitement of returning home makes it worthwhile.
Numan Durgut from Germany said, “The journey requires patience, but it’s endured with love for the homeland.” He described his arrival with his family as joyful and emotional. Metin Polat, arriving from France, added, “Even the police feel like big brothers here. We miss this sense of belonging when we’re abroad.”
