Security crew of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, USA found a pistol hidden inside a raw chicken. The weapon, wrapped in a paper, was detected just before the passenger boarded the plane.
The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said that the Haitian passenger who owned the gun was detained.
Flying with a gun is not prohibited under US law. However, weapons must be placed in a locked and rigid box and carried in a registered baggage.
This year, 700 illegally transported guns were seized from airport checkpoints in Florida.
