Israel Intercepts Final Boat of Gaza-Bound Flotilla

The Israeli military has intercepted the Ramle (Sirius), the last active vessel of the Global Flotilla attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Following this final intervention in the Mediterranean Sea, all 70 boats in the international convoy have now been officially prevented from breaking the naval blockade. Flotilla organizers strongly condemned the widespread operations, stating they are awaiting further information on the “illegal abduction” of their crews and vowing never to halt their efforts for Palestine. As a result of the sweeping naval interceptions, more than 400 peaceful activists from 45 different countries—including many Turkish citizens—are estimated to have been detained by Israeli authorities.
