Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei cautioned the government about engaging in negotiations with the US, claiming, “Behind the diplomatic smiles of the US lies hatred, hostility, and bad intentions.” Addressing diplomats from Islamic nations in Tehran on Miraj Night, Khamenei criticized the US for fostering a “colonial order” and exploiting nations for its interests. He urged vigilance, referencing Quranic teachings to avoid “secret friendships” with adversaries.
On the Gaza ceasefire, Khamenei described it as a victory, stating, “A small region brought the Zionist regime, fully armed and supported by the US, to its knees.” He also reaffirmed Hezbollah’s resilience in Lebanon, dismissing claims of its decline, saying, “Hezbollah is stronger and stands motivated against the Zionist regime.”
