A train was stranded due to the disruption caused by damage to the electrical cables of the railway line in the Ladbroke Grove area of London, the capital of England. Some passengers got off the train and walked on the rails in the dark and cold weather. Railway company Network Rail apologized to passengers for the disruption and said that they expected the railway to be fully open by the end of the week.

The Ukrainian parliament approved President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal to appoint Yulia Svyrydenko as the new prime minister.
Svyrydenko, 39, secured 262 votes in the 450-seat chamber, becoming Ukraine’s 19th prime minister and the second woman in the country’s history to hold the post.
She has served as Economy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister since 2021 and previously negotiated a minerals agreement with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
