The ongoing delivery of TOKİ residences, replacing earthquake-damaged homes in Hatay’s Payas district due to earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, is progressing smoothly. Payas Municipality Disaster Affairs Manager Fatih Beluk announced that out of 1,351 disaster residences, 698 citizens recently received their keys during a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on February 3. Beluk detailed that 827 residences are in the 1st stage disaster zone, with an additional 530 in the Payas 2nd stage area. The selection of beneficiaries occurred through a draw in Antakya, and after addressing initial deficiencies, residents are now receiving complete access to their new homes. Fatma Ateşoğlu, an earthquake survivor, expressed gratitude and joy upon receiving her new house.
