On the first day of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, more than 630 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip, the UN reported. UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Tom Fletcher highlighted the urgent need, noting that 300 trucks delivered aid to northern Gaza.

“There is no time to waste. After 15 months of relentless war, the humanitarian needs are immense,” Fletcher stated, emphasizing the critical scale of the relief effort.

Ceasefire Talks in Gaza Expected to Resume Next Week

Egyptian media reports that ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel in Gaza, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, are set to resume next week. Israel is awaiting Hamas’s response to the ceasefire offer.

Israeli and US delegations, who were in Doha for negotiations, have returned home for consultations. The current agreement being discussed includes the exchange of hostages and prisoners, with plans for further talks on a permanent ceasefire and the release of additional hostages.
