Search and rescue operations are continuing around the clock after a seven-story building housing displaced Palestinians collapsed in the Gaza Strip. The Al-Saada building, which had been previously damaged by Israeli attacks, was home to approximately 150 people from nine families. Emergency teams, supported by the UN Development Programme, have successfully pulled 45 survivors from the rubble so far. Tragically, the bodies of 21 people, including eight children, were recovered during the initial aftermath of the disaster. Gaza Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal confirmed the number of survivors as crews persistently dig through the debris for anyone still trapped.
